Nova connects voice and home automation so everyday controls, reminders and room-specific messages can be easier to access. The goal is practical independence with privacy, clear boundaries and family oversight.
Built from lived experience
Nova’s accessibility direction is shaped by the founder’s family experience of cerebral palsy. In the home, Nova provides personalised interaction while AEGIS SYSTEMS continues developing how she communicates with people who have disability or additional support needs.
Her interaction approach is being shaped around calm language, patient pacing and one clear step at a time. Nova adapts communication, never a person’s assumed capability, and guides without taking over.
Supportive, not clinical. Nova does not diagnose, infer disability or replace family, carers or clinicians. Higher-risk home controls always require stronger approval.

The Nova Voice Box brings room-aware voice control throughout the home. With a Voice Box placed in each room, Nova can respond where you are and connect your request to the right devices and systems.
Ask Nova to adjust the air conditioning, switch the lights, control a television or manage connected outdoor and energy equipment—without needing to find a phone, remote or wall control.

AEGIS SYSTEMS is evaluating Halliday Glasses and MemoMind as camera-free display and audio platforms for Nova. The current work focuses on private, hands-free prompts, reminders, business information and connected home control.
For Nova to see and interpret the surroundings, she will need a separate camera-enabled or phone-linked vision pathway. That work remains in development and will require deliberate capture, visible privacy states and clear human approval.

AEGIS SYSTEMS is developing Nova Drone Voice Mission Control in Australia for DJI drone platforms. After the wake phrase “OK Nova”, a spoken instruction is converted into a bounded flight command and checked through the same flight authority, interlock and safety envelope as on-screen control.
Voice is an input, never a separate authority system. Arming remains deliberate, the pilot stays present with visual oversight, and the physical controller and LOCAL STOP retain immediate override throughout the flight.
